Rosie Slay / Co-Founder and Director
Rosie co-founded Ugly Duck in August 2012 with Scarlett. She grew up in Hackney and developed an interest in social and environmental issues from a young age, becoming an active campaigner. She has a background in youth work and facilitation and is particularly interested in initiatives which rethink people’s approaches to each other and the environment. Rosie heads up our City Hunt project, business development, finances and HR.

Géraldine Atger / Arts and Facilities Manager
Since graduating from her MA in Cultural Management at the Paris Sorbonne University in 2013, Géraldine has worked between Paris and London as a production & tour manager for agencies specialised in new media art projects such as body>data>space in London and Art2M in Paris. From 2014 to 2016 Geraldine has been managing the production and bookings of the Waterlight Graffiti Project, an interactive installation developed by Antonin Fourneau. She has installed exhibitions in Chicago, London, New York, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong and Moscow.
Katy has helped cultivate several creative organisations and spaces from scratch, working to secure funding, to establish ongoing partnerships and to develop operational strategy. Katy joined Ugly Duck in June 2016 to evolve Ugly Duck's work in Tanner Street and beyond.
Alongside programming and venue management, Isabel has worked as a freelance producer and writer and her own theatre company, Burn Bright Theatre, was launched in 2014.
Scarlett Plouviez Comnas / Founder
Scarlett founded 47/49 with Rosie in 2012 as Artistic Director was fundamental in developing the organisation’s cultural and business strategy. Scarlett left 47/49 at the end of 2013 to lead on a number of theatre projects and continue her work as a freelance director.
