SUMMARY:Physarum Polycephalum\, net_work reconfigurations
DESCRIPTION:Physarum Polycephalum\, neT_work reconfigurations\nGoldsmiths BSc Digital Arts Computing \nThis 2025 exhibition by the Digital Art’s computing cohort explores the extraordinary ability of physarum polycephalum a single-cell slime mould and its ability to adapt to it’s environment no matter how intricate or complex for the sake of efficiency. \nOur work through this lens serves to be viewed as challenging the centrality of humans and how perspectives may shift when coming to different understandings of life\, intelligence and connectivity. \nThrough the fusion of art\, science\, and technology\, Net_work Reconfiguration encourages the viewer to ponder the current boundaries between biological and digital networks. By highlighting an organism which is capable of reconfiguring itself in reach of adaptation for efficiency\, we can learn from this work. \nJoin us in reimagining the world through the metaphorical lens of physarum polycephalum where the “blob” becomes a guide to reconfigure our understanding of networks\, intelligence and the posthuman condition. \n22nd May 6 pm – 10:00 pm \n23rd – 25th May from 11 am \nMore info
