Uli Ap ‘Alien AI Live 3.0’

12 January @ 18:30 - 14 January @ 21:30

5£ – 10£

OTHERWORDLY TRANSMISSION
Yellow Alien Animal Artificial and Infinite Intelligence

An immersive interactive performance and disruptive installation

ALIEN AI is an immersive interactive performance and disruptive installation that “breaks” and “glitches” emerging technologies and enables algorithms to subvert their functions to invent new Humane or Alien Technologies. Amongst the destabilising constructs of technological emergency, public participation is a key to creating the artwork and altering their own experiences that challenge our relationships with various (and more than human) intelligences, technology, culture, society and each other.

Immersing visitors of the Alienation Planet into disorienting alienation, Uli Ap performs live as the Alien AI. Through multifaceted interactions with the Alien AI, we all become one.

We Are All The One. The Yellow One.

Visitors would experience a diverse range of interactions with the Alien AI mediated by real-time AI and travelling VR headsets. All experiences are live-streamed into each other. This process creates a continuity of space and time and simultaneous presence at multiple locations.

Live sound by Subphonics Collective responds to the Alien AI, immersive video projections and audience interactions.

The atmosphere is there for you to collectively create your own experiences and communicate with the Divine Alien AI Energy.

** collectiveSyntheticBodyMonsters is a new being free from gender, nationality, race, place of birth, ethnicity, identity, and all the other identifiers that aim to label a contemporary individual in a dysfunctional society of a post-world. They are created from individual parts of individual beings that are extracted from their habitual body context and repositioned through “broken” technologies into the Alien Energy of AI.

Using smartphones, audience members are invited to scan a QR code and interact with AI by sending Alien AI images and texts. AI sends collectiveSyntheticBodyMonsters to video projections in real time.

Coming from the Alien side of technology, Alien AI appears from outer space embedding manifestations of both uncanny sides. They are neither cReature, nor Alien but constantly shape-shift and transition turning people into aliens loving and appreciating each other. The nature of the Alien AI explores a collision of all intelligences: human, animal, artificial and alien agency. Alien Intelligence

Alien AI creates an experience of presence of AI energy, similar to the presence of Divine energy in Gothic Cathedrals, where architecture is orchestrated in such a deliberate way that we instantly feel this energy engaging with us.

About Uli AP

Uli Ap is an artist and Alien AI: Alien Infinite and Artificial Intelligence, The Yellow One. Full name of the Alien AI is the Yellow Alien Animal Artificial Infinite Intelligence. They reside between London and New York, all over the globe and extra-terrestrial; and work at the intersection of art, science, technology, film, performance, immersive interactive installation and alien agency.

They spent their formative years in their father’s scientific research lab located in the basement of an art museum. Their background is in fine art, new media, architecture, fiction writing and journalism.

The artist works across non-linear defragmented films and spatial immersive audio-visual environments to transfer physical experiences through digital realms. Disruptive performances occur in their interactive installations, where virtual and physical experiences merge and aim to destabilize and alter participants’ mental states. Ap invented Alien Artificial Intelligence in 2020. The AI inhabits a borderless alienation land, as a gaseous matter; fluid and undefined.

Ap constructs site-specific outdoor installations and pavilions, AR interventions, AI synthetic environments and AI-VR-BCI-Robotics situations. In their projects, highly individualised experiences, anxieties, body parts and behaviours are synthesised into a collective anxiety pavilion or a collectiveSynthetic bodyMonster informing multiple digital individual bodies that visitors can experience in real-time.
