Queering Clay: Free Clay Workshop

15 December 23 @ 18:00 - 20:00

Free

Drink some tea in a chilled space with a bunch of other queer people and make some cool clay sculptures 😀

This workshop is designed for queer women, non-binary, intersex, and trans+ people (or anyone who is exploring their identity within this bracket). No prior experience of making or working with clay is required!
We will use a combination of mould-making and sculpting techniques to create ceramic artworks based on parts of our own bodies. The aim of the workshop is to create a safe space for people to enjoy playing with clay, and explore different ideas we hold about how we relate our queerness to our body. Please be aware that we will be working intimately with our own bodies.
The way in which you choose to do this is totally up to you; whether that involves full nudity or limiting contact with the clay to only your hands. The most important thing is that everyone feels completely comfortable, has fun, and hopefully learns something.
